And, the great thing about this movie is that you do not have to have seen the show before. When you're watching 'Cowboy Bebop,' you really don't view it as an animated feature, but as a real living and breathing film. Very rarely do I run into movies that make me want to watch it again right then and there. You know a movie is powerful when it has that kind of effect on you. Right after I had seen it for the first time, I had to immediately watch it again. The action and excitement never ends until the shocking finale. The only trouble is that Spike and the gang have s tumbled onto something that is much more than a simple bounty and end up discovering a big conspiracy that will throw their lives into ultimate danger. Spike and company decide to take the case, as there is a large reward that will be given to the person or persons who catches the madman. In Mars, there's a suspected terrorist running around with a virus that could very well wipe out the existence of human beings. The movie revolves around a bunch of outlaw bounty hunters. You're plunged right into the nail-biting action that will have you glued to your seat until it is well over. It's hard to think of a cartoon being so action-packed and involving, but this movie does a splendid job of doing just that.

When the criminal Vincent (Daran Norris), is identified, with a connection to Spike's love interest Elektra (Jennifer Hale), the real action begins. Meanwhile Jet (Beau Billinglsea), holds down the fort, worried about the gang. And the young Ed (Mellisa Fahn) and her dog Ein do some handy computer research. Faye traces the image of the man she saw back to military files. Spike slinks through Chinatown, being led by shady underground characters. They decide to branch out, each using their own tactics to research the tragedy. Over 500 people die in the attack, and the city offers a monetary reward for any information. Then again, certain actors I won't name were dumb enough to put their union names in the Bebop credits, so maybe it won't be such a big problem after all.

Columbia/Tri Star will do a unionized dub like they did for Metropolis, and since certain Bebop actors would reveal their union names by doing it, they'd be forced to not do the dub. The only way I don't see them using the original cast is if the whole union/alias thing screws it over, which is certainly a big possibility. And even so, there's only 5 characters they'd have to retain for the movie. C'mon, is it that hard? Bebop's claimed by many (myself included) as the best anime english dub ever. It will be a true shame if they don't release a dub. Can't say I'm that surprised, although I'd hope that they'd atleast have the dignity to not tamper with the name of such a high profile release. Wow, changing the title again, like they did with Candidate For Goddess.
